Parts Associate / Parts Counterperson Harley-Davidson Dealership Location: Shasta Harley-Davidson - Redding, CA Department: Parts Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Parts Manager Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000+ Annual Earning Potential $19.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience, plus retail sales commission. Performance-based commission opportunity is approximately $1,000 per month based on individual retail sales performance.

At Shasta Harley-Davidson, we're looking for a motivated, customer-focused Parts Associate / Parts Counterperson to join our team. This position is at the center of our Parts and Service operation. You'll work directly with customers, technicians, and other dealership departments to identify the right parts and accessories, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and help keep our riders on the road. This isn't just an order-taking position. We're looking for someone who can provide great customer service, learn our products, build relationships, and sell.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist customers at the Parts Counter, over the phone, and throughout the dealership Identify and locate the correct OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions Drive retail parts and accessory sales while providing a first-class customer experience Build parts estimates and accurately process customer transactions Support Service Advisors and Technicians with parts required for repair orders Maintain and track special-order parts and follow up with customers Receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory Assist with cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy Maintain clean, organized, and properly merchandised parts displays Develop strong product knowledge of Harley-Davidson parts, accessories, and motorcycle fitment Work closely with Service, Sales, and MotorClothes to maximize opportunities throughout the dealership Follow all dealership processes, procedures, and inventory controls

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous parts counter, automotive, motorcycle, powersports, or dealership experience preferred Retail sales experience strongly preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Sales-minded with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, electronic parts catalogs, and dealership software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented Knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts, and accessories is a strong plus Valid driver's license required Motorcycle endorsement preferred Availability to work weekends and peak dealership events

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and lifting Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to safely assist with maneuvering motorcycles when required Work is performed in a dealership environment with occasional exposure to noise, exhaust, shop equipment, and cleaning chemicals
