Banquet Server Description:
Ideal candidates for the Banquet Server position are able to work in a fast-paced environment to provide hospitality services for corporate or private functions. They set up for events, carry trays of china or glassware, provide beverage service, and clean up at the event’s conclusion. They serve guests by providing information to help food and beverage selections (when needed); presenting ordered choices; maintaining dining ambiance; accommodating guests at a function while circulating the room. To succeed in this role, candidates will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with guests and staff.
Banquet Server Responsibilities:
- Setting up for events (may include placing tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet).
- Carrying trays.
- Providing beverage service
- Cleaning up at the event's conclusion.
- Anticipating the needs of the guests and responding politely to their requests
- Operating a point-of-sale system when necessary.
- Ability to bend, carry up to 40lbs
- Ability to stand for a long period of time
