Movers, Luxury Home Staging and Design | HQ in Leander, TX | $25 to $30/hr

You walk into an empty house in the morning. By the time you leave it looks like a model home, and somebody's either about to buy it or about to live in it.

Jake David Home furnishes high-end homes across the Austin area, and we're one of the fastest growing staging and design companies in Texas. Our design content pulls millions of views, and the goal is to become one of the largest design brands in the country. Jake's been starting businesses since he was 12. Non-profits, music festivals, renovations, new home sales. All of it led here, and this is the biggest one yet.

The work

Load and unload furniture, rugs, art, and décor. Place and arrange it in the home to a designer's plan. Some days that's a staging headed to market, some days it's a full design install for a client who's been waiting months to see it. Either way it's expensive inventory going into somebody's home, so care matters more than speed. Between jobs, keep the trucks and warehouse in order.

Shifts run 6 to 8 hours out of our Leander warehouse.

What the job requires

• Lift up to 100 lbs, often as a two-person carry, and stay on your feet all day
• Reliable transportation and a phone you answer
• Driver's license and a good driving record
• Show up on time for the shifts you take. (We don't like flakes) We'd rather have five people who always show up than fifteen who sometimes do.
• Be available one day a week minimum. Shifts fall Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, and we schedule around your availability. If several weeks go by without you picking up a shift, we'll assume you've moved on and give the spot to someone else.
• No experience needed. We'll train you to drive the box truck, work the warehouse, and lift furniture safely.

Pay

$25 to $30/hr depending on experience, paid weekly. We pay more than the average moving job because we expect more. Damaged walls and scratched furniture cost us clients, so we move slower and think first.
