About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Programs to serve as a senior organizational leader with a primary focus on social work practice, coaching, leadership development, and service quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for executive oversight of assigned programs, with a strong emphasis on strengthening trauma-informed and person-centered practices, coaching and developing Program Directors, and advancing participant outcomes. This role requires a professional social work perspective to be applied in supervision, decision-making, workforce development, and continuous improvement, while ensuring that operational, compliance, financial, and performance expectations are met. The Vice President will also be involved in strategic, community, and system leadership, representing the organization with various stakeholders, and supporting grant implementation and cross-system coordination. Candidates for the Vice President of Programs position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in social work, with a Master’s degree preferred, and a professional social work background. A minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in relevant fields is required, along with a proven track record in supervising, coaching, and developing senior managers or equivalent leaders. The role demands a strong understanding of trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based practices, as well as experience in areas such as case consultation, crisis response, quality improvement, and performance management. The ideal candidate will possess strategic planning, organizational change leadership, and excellent communication skills, and be adept at budget management and operational problem-solving. A valid New York State driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly are also necessary for this position.
