Soft Home Goods Product Designer

Salary: $83,200 - 93,600 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Design, Surface Design, Illustration, Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• We are looking for 3+ years of product development experience in textile, surface design, or soft home goods categories.
• We need advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• We value a background or strong interest in textile design, surface design, illustration, or product development.
• We seek demonstrated enthusiasm for home product trends, color theory, and competitive brand knowledge.
• We require excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• We ask for a strong portfolio or online site showcasing relevant design work, which is required for consideration.

• We design, develop, and deliver soft home artwork and surface patterns for assigned product programs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• We collaborate with our Product Development team across the full design process, from early concept discussions through artwork completion and the prototype stage.
• We select seasonal color palettes and use knowledge of current market trends, color direction, and competitor brands to guide product design.
• We translate conceptual ideas into production-ready artwork and communicate design intent clearly.
• We manage several design projects at once while staying organized, adaptable, and thorough in follow-through.
• We work closely as part of a team to keep product vision and deliverables aligned.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Soft Home Designer for a contract opportunity with a leading retail client. This hybrid role is based in Framingham, Massachusetts, with on-site work required 3 to 4 days per week, and the contract runs through late January 2027. The position offers hands-on experience bringing original design concepts to life alongside a collaborative product development team.
