Job Summary
A Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Peoria, Illinois. The role involves providing care on an acute care oncology floor, supporting patients with various types of cancer, including lymphoma, leukemia, hematology, and radiation oncology patients. The RN will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver quality care.

Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, starting on 08/17/2026
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; a 6-week schedule cycle; every other weekend and holiday work required
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/National Certification Corporation (NCC) Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Consolidated Qualifications: Illinois (IL) license or confirmation of application process, active BLS certification, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification, minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in oncology nursing, and experience with IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medication administration
• Responsibilities: Administering and monitoring chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, managing patient side effects, troubleshooting CPAP and Bipap as needed, utilizing Epic Beacon EMR system, and providing compassionate patient care.
• Additional Information: Experience giving IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications is required. The unit utilizes telemonitoring with Phillips monitors, and RNs are not required to read or interpret strips. The department works with a float rotation and utilizes Epic Beacon for documentation.
