Pediatric MRI Technologist

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You must be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. Coordination with the patient's physician to ensure timely results is essential. Must be comfortable scanning neonates through age 18 and provide age-appropriate care. Familiarity with medical terminology is required. You should be able to stand for extended periods.

MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test (note: IV placement is not performed in this position).
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines.
• Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate various patient ages.
• Properly screen and prepare patients for scanning.
• Identify contraindications for safe scanning.
• Independently determine when a scan must be stopped due to motion and when sedation/anesthesia is needed.
