# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Rehabilitation – Texas

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or Night shift available | 12-hour shifts | Every other weekend and holiday rotation | Patient ratio 5:1, maximum 6:1 | Minimal on-call requirements

• 15-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit focused on comprehensive patient recovery and functional improvement
• Collaborative team environment with charge nurses, RNs, and CNAs working together to deliver quality care
• EMR: Meditech and Pyxis medication management system
• Bedside report protocols with hourly rounding to ensure exceptional patient safety and engagement
• Standard rehab equipment including transfer devices (Hoyer lifts, sliding boards), vital sign machines, EKG, and bladder scanners
• Float opportunities to Med-Surge, Telemetry, Renal, Urology, and Orthopedic units (ICU excluded)

• Current RN license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Experience and competency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols
• Preferred: Prior rehabilitation nursing experience and familiarity with rehab scoring documentation

• Manage patient caseload with focus on rehabilitation progress and recovery goals
• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation including rehabilitation assessments and scoring
• Ensure patient safety through proper use of bed alarms and equipment
