Description

Purchase direct and indirect materials that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.

Manage procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, creating purchase orders, tracking freight, receiving incoming deliveries, and managing inventory levels.

Resolve supplier issues, such as delivery delays, quality concerns, and pricing discrepancies.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.

Monthly reporting of consignment inventory to Harley Davidson.

Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.

Assesses and organizes multiple inventory types.

Moves inventory between various storage areas

Inventory count – raw parts included.

Duties and responsibilities may change, and new ones may be added, at any time with or without advanced notice.

Overtime and Weekend are sometimes mandatory.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred

Proficient with ERP systems

1 year of experience in the procurement field (preferred)

Experience with shipping and logistics

Administrative experience

Strong organizational skills

Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Have a functional understanding of computers.

Ability to drive a forklift (preferred)

Working conditions

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Physical requirements

Sedentary work -sitting, up to 8 hours a day at times.

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and making fine discriminations in sound.
