Job Summary:
This is a psychiatric nurse (RN) position located in Richmond, Virginia, within a behavior health unit focused on adult psychiatric care. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care on a 3W Mood Disorder unit. Candidates are required to bring their active Virginia nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Richmond, VA
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with alternation between day and night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Virginia RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification, 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, behavioral health experience preferred or nice to have, experience with higher acuity populations, proficiency in behavioral health assessments, medication management, admissions, and discharges
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, prior experience in psychiatric or mental health units
• Float: All units of Tucker Pavilionadult, substance abuse, child/adolescent
• Additional Information: This is a vacant position on the 3W Mood Disorder unit, caring for patients with behavioral health needs. The role involves providing specialized psychiatric care on a unit with variable patient ratios, equipment including oxygen and Dinamap monitors, and a focus on team collaboration.
