Mid-Level Business Litigation Associate Attorney (3-5 yrs) - Seattle

Litigation Associate (Complex Business Litigation) Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a mid-level Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of complex business litigation experience to join its Seattle office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated, high-stakes litigation matters while collaborating closely with experienced litigators in a highly collegial and team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will gain meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to work on complex disputes at both the state and federal levels. Responsibilities Represent businesses and individuals in complex commercial litigation matters Assist with all phases of litigation, including: Case assessment and strategy development Legal research and analysis Motion practice Discovery management Depositions Trial preparation Alternative dispute resolution proceedings Draft and argue substantive motions, briefs, and other court filings Manage large and sophisticated litigation matters and workstreams Coordinate with clients, experts, co-counsel, and internal teams Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations Work closely with partners and senior litigators on local and national matters Develop practical, business-focused solutions for clients facing complex disputes Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar 3-5 years of complex business litigation experience Minimum of one year of litigation experience at a law firm Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities Experience managing sophisticated litigation matters Strong organizational and case-management skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team Preferred Qualifications Judicial clerkship experience Experience handling complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts Significant motion practice and brief-writing experience Experience working with large litigation teams and complex case management issues Why This Opportunity Our client offers attorneys the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters within a collaborative and supportive environment.
