Job Summary

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our dedicated team in Winchester, MA.

As a Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of providing a comfortable environment for residents in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dry mop, and wet mop resident rooms and assigned areas

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste

• Clean staff dining areas, stairwells, hallways, and other designated spaces

• Vacuum carpets and other floor surfaces

• Restock housekeeping supplies as needed

• Perform occasional light maintenance duties as assigned

• Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection-control policies and procedures

• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or cleaning experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to follow departmental safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

• Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented
