Registered Nurse- Cardiovascular ASC (Part time, no benefits)

ASC Nurse Position

Under the supervision of the ASC Director of Nursing and in accordance with approved policy, assists the cardiologist and/or surgeon involved in all procedures performed in the ASC Lab. The ASC Nurse is responsible for quality care of patients before, during, and after the Cath procedure. The ASC Nurse functions as part of the team performing not only patient care functions but hemodynamic monitoring and scrub nurse duties. Accepts other responsibilities as are delegated by the Director of Nursing to assure optimum patient care. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served: also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Education & Experience:

• Graduation certificate from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) school of nursing, required
• Current state licensure, required
• IV certification, preferred
• ACLS certification, preferred
• BLS/CPR certification, preferred

• Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Highly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regard to time management
• Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programs

Work Schedule:

2 10 hour shifts

Required to be one of the late nurses once a week.
