Job Description Operates a dump truck and safely deliver construction material such as asphalt, borrow material, excavation and stone base to various projects. Responsibilities Operate a dump truck and other types of trucks. Perform pre‑trip inspection on truck. Transport and deliver construction materials to projects in a timely manner. May perform other duties or operate other types of trucks. Maintain a good attendance and safety record. Clean debris and materials from the tailgate area and sides of the truck. Perform accurate pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections. Stand, walk, and drive for long periods while staying alert and driving defensively. Abide by precise instructions, strict safety rules and policies. Operate equipment at recommended speeds and peaks of operation, meeting productivity goals. Work safely in traffic, backing, and maneuvering in sometimes congested areas. Recap steps and handholds into the truck, maintaining three points of contact when climbing. Qualifications & Training One year of experience; the right person will be trained. CDL Class B with a valid medical card. At least 19 years old. Able to read and write as required for documentation. Reliable, trustworthy, and a team player. Good attendance and safety record. Ability to climb steps and work in elevated temperatures. Physical ability to squat, bend, climb in and out of the truck, and use handholds. Capable of standing and walking for long periods and staying alert while driving.
