Benefits Continuous professional development and regular career progression sessions Competitive market pay Monthly bonus opportunities for all site associates 30% associate rent discount Medical, Dental & Vision benefits starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of full‑time employment Company‑provided life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage Flexible Spending accounts 401(k) eligibility after 90 days, with 4% Highmark match Professional certification & tuition reimbursement Vacation, sick and personal time off available after 90 days 10 paid holidays Paid parental leave Responsibilities Assist the Service Manager in all maintenance related tasks: Supervise maintenance staff and ensure all areas of the community are maintained Supervise proper levels of inventory, as needed with approval Assist with contractors and become knowledgeable of competitive pricing of supplies Implement and supervise training programs for the use of safety equipment in keeping with SDS Track, monitor and follow up on resident work orders in Yardi to ensure requests are completed within 24 hours Conduct apartment inspections and walk‑through checklists on all vacant units Lead and mentor the maintenance staff by assisting with skill development and knowledge Demonstrate leadership and example for the maintenance staff Respond to emergency calls via the on‑call monitoring service per policy Perform general appliance, carpet, A/C, electrical, carpentry, welding, painting, and plumbing repairs as required Move appliances with assistance, using an appliance dolly, and install appliances and electrical fixtures as required Report any maintenance problems and ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner Lead or participate in an ongoing community preventive maintenance program Adhere to company safety policies, OSHA safety standards, and rules applicable to safe job performance Participate in training programs for safety equipment usage per SDS Assist in achieving positive satisfaction reports by providing professional and courteous customer service Assist with resident functions as required Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co‑workers, vendors, etc. Work on‑call, overtime, weekends, holidays, and evenings as required Ensure a reliable mode of contact at home for emergency situations May be transferred or assigned to work at another Highmark community Comply with all policies outlined in the Operations Manual and company key procedures Maintain a clean and orderly shop Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Manager, Community Director, or Assistant Community Director in the Service Manager’s absence Qualifications Interest in the role and its responsibilities Leadership and team‑building skills Experience in apartment maintenance Strive for excellence Minimum 3 years of experience in make‑ready and on‑site apartment maintenance Average written and oral communication skills in English Spanish bilingualism is a plus Ability to direct, motivate, train, and develop subordinates General knowledge of building codes and applicable community laws (e.g., Freon recovery, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools) High school diploma Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Leadership skills A/C Certification II Req ID: 2026-9437 #J-18808-Ljbffr Highmark Residential
