The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Production Supervisors. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Supervise and train production line staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or workflow as needed to meet targets.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve interdepartmental conflicts.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a production team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
- Bilingual in Spanish or other relevant languages
