Quality Inspector

We are seeking highly motivated Quality Inspectors to join our team for both day and night shifts. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting components, sub-assemblies, and finished products received or built internally. You will collaborate with Quality Management to implement appropriate sampling plans based on specifications and inspection plans, ensuring that all shipped products meet customer specifications and quality requirements. Your role is vital in maintaining and monitoring quality processes to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Collect quality data to derive objectives.
  • Execute and maintain comprehensive quality product inspections.
  • Serve as a focal point for analyzing quality issues and determining root causes.
  • Implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow and promote internal quality standards and procedures.
  • Review documentation for compliance with quality standards.
  • Inspect First Articles, incoming components, raw materials, fabricated parts, and in-process assemblies per Inspection Plans.
  • Conduct subassembly tests as required to ensure quality products.
  • Use measuring equipment such as calipers and gauges.
  • Audit and monitor quality requirements according to quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
  • Document and report inspection findings, results, and monitor corrective actions.
  • Regularly adhere to applicable procedures in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO Environmental Management.
  • Continuously assess opportunities for improvement and necessary changes to management systems.
  • Assist with assembly work when possible.
Essential Skills
  • Experience performing precision measurements.
  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control and assurance.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and electrical testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and methods.
  • Ability to use equipment like scales and gages.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
