This role supports a dynamic Shipping & Receiving operation for a leading manufacturer of professional-grade construction and industrial tools. The Warehouse Worker ensures accurate handling of incoming parts, maintains inventory integrity, and fulfills customer orders through efficient picking, packing, and shipping processes. The position plays a key role in supporting productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming parts shipments, verify quantities against documentation, and organize inventory in designated storage areas.
• Accurately pick customer orders from inventory based on pick lists or system instructions.
• Carefully pack orders to prevent damage during transit and ensure all items and documentation are included.
• Ship customer orders using UPS and FedEx systems, including preparing labels and shipping documentation.
• Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with stock organization, including restocking shelves, rotating inventory, and maintaining proper labeling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by following housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Provide general support to the shipping department as needed, including assisting teammates during peak periods.

Essential Skills

• Strong reliability and consistent work ethic.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and orders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Basic warehouse or shipping and receiving experience.
• Ability to use or quickly learn UPS and FedEx shipping systems.
• Capability to follow established procedures for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with UPS shipping systems is preferred.
• Experience with FedEx shipping systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, order picker/packer, or inventory control role is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

This is a Contract position based out of Plainview, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
