Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Compensation The base hourly rate for this position is $35.78. The role is located at the Waterville, OH complex. Your Day to Day Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies, including lock‑out/tag‑out and confined‑space entry procedures. Troubleshoot and repair failures of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum equipment efficiency. Perform gas cutting, welding, plumbing, and equipment fabrication. Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, as well as precision‑based maintenance methods. Document work orders, parts, and time in the computerized maintenance management system. Manage daily responsibilities independently while collaborating with team members and maintaining focus on quality while meeting time‑sensitive tasks. What You Bring to The Team High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license Technical training preferred (including vocational) and will be considered in conjunction with overall experience 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred Repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components Welding experience and knowledge Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and drawings Willingness to work any shift (12:00a.m.–8:00a.m.; 8:00a.m.–4:00p.m.; 4:00p.m.–12:00a.m.; swing shift) or a 12‑hour rotating shift Verbal and written communication skills Ability to write routine reports and correspondence legibly Basic computer knowledge Working knowledge of SAP and other computer‑based maintenance systems preferred Must be able to occasionally lift 75 pounds and work at heights Must have own tools Must successfully pass an aptitude test and hands‑on skills assessment This Position Offers Overtime and double‑time pay (where appropriate) 401(k) match 11 paid holidays Paid vacation – 1 week at 1‑year anniversary; 2 weeks at 2‑year anniversary Education reimbursement Comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans Benefits JM offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision plans; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid vacation; sick and parental leave; basic life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, employee assistance program, and business travel accident coverage; supplemental life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment; tax‑saving accounts; and a tuition reimbursement program.
