Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | School Hours
Pay Rate: $20-$23/hour (based on experience)

ProCare Therapy is partnering with a local school district to recruit adedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to provide one-on-onesupport for a student in a school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity forprofessionals who are passionate about helping students overcome behavioralchallenges and achieve success in the classroom.

Position Overview

The Paraprofessional will provide full-time, 1:1 support to a malestudent who requires behavioral and academic assistance throughout theschool day. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children whodemonstrate challenging behaviors and possess strong classroom management,de-escalation, and communication skills.

Working under the direction of the classroom teacher, special educationteam, and school administration, the Paraprofessional will help promote a safe,positive, and productive learning environment while supporting the student'seducational goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 support to an assigned student throughout the school day.
• Implement behavioral support strategies and intervention plans as directed by school staff.
• Assist the student with classroom participation, task completion, and social interactions.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and proactive behavior management strategies.
• Monitor student progress and document behavioral observations as required.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, counselors, and administrators.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Support the student's academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school, educational, behavioral health, or special education setting.
• Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during challenging situations.
• Ability to pass all required background checks and meet district onboarding requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• School-based paraprofessional experience/paraprofessional certification
• Experience supporting students receiving special education services.
• CPI, NCI, or other crisis prevention/de-escalation training.
• Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), ADHD, or other developmental and behavioral needs.
