Performs services related to the setup, reprocessing andcare of patient use equipment & surgical instruments. Performsinventory control functions related to supply areas. Minimum Qualifications: An accredited High School Diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in Sterile Processing, Nursing or Surgerywith strong commitment to implementing Infection Control,disinfection and sterilization principles preferred. Basic computercompetency required. Willingness to learn and understand surgical instruments,sterilization techniques, and decontamination and sterileprocessing equipment. Understands and can identify the cleaning products, methods andprocedures used in SPD for each item based on manufacturers IFU’spreferred.
