TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Pendleton, Oregon, 97801!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Oregon License Required - Can apply for the OR 90-Day Emergency License Certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: - Experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, routine nursery, and Intermediate Nursery - Ability to be independent in all areas of care - Strong nursing skills Description: The unit has 5 LDR beds and 1 OR suite. There is 1 triage bed and 3 postpartum beds in addition to the LDR beds. The unit averages approximately 340 births per year, with 30-35 deliveries per month. Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines. Nurses are required to titrate drips including Pitocin and insulin. A charge nurse is present on the unit, and there is a house supervisor available. Support staff includes CNA II and unit secretary. There are no OB/Neonatologists on-site but are available on call 24/7. Central monitoring for fetal strips is implemented, with maternal cardiac monitored by ICU staff. Shifts are block scheduled, allowing trades as needed. Weekend and holiday requirements include working one major and one minor holiday as applicable. Nurses are expected to help in other units as needed. Scrubs are provided for staff. The unit can be busy at times, so the ability to shift tasks quickly is essential. Nurses may start a shift with fewer patients but should be prepared for fluctuating workloads.
