Job Title

RN – Emergency Room (Acute Care)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Onsite | Shift rotation with every-other-weekend requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 19-bed Emergency Department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
• Care for a wide variety of patients ranging from pediatric to vulnerable adult populations across varying acuity levels
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 (adjusted for ICU or Stepdown-level patients)
• Utilize Meditech for charting via WOW workstations, Pyxis for medication administration, and Solaris IV pumps
• Complete a medication competency test during orientation and participate in unit-based onboarding with a Clinical Preceptor
• Adhere to department dress code — professional scrubs of any color; no other facility logos permitted

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of California
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
• TNCC certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or high-acuity emergency environment
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations across a broad acuity spectrum
