Description
Volt is immediately hiring for a 2nd shift Machinist for a company located in Gardena, CA.
As a CNC Machinist you will:
- Set up CNC machines including calibration, cleaning, tooling, and fixture installation
- Control and adjust machine settings (speed, feed, offsets)
- Monitoring and maintaining warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Setting up manufacturing equipment
- Overseeing training of new or Junior Machine Operators
- Using machine equipment to complete tasks
- Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.)
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Combination of additional education and experience.
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
This is a Full-Time, contract opportunity
Schedule: Monday - Friday, overtime on Saturday (2nd Shift 2pm-10:30pm)
Pay Rate*- $23.00 - 40.00 per hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
