Overview Heywood Healthcare Gardner & Athol, Massachusetts Heywood Healthcare is seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Emergency Medicine team at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA and Athol Hospital in Athol, MA. Position Highlights Practice in a busy community emergency department Physician-led, team-based model with experienced Emergency Medicine physicians and APPs Opportunity to practice at the top of license Supportive leadership focused on quality, safety, and provider well-being Full-time schedule: 11 twelve-hour shifts per month Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions Perform procedures consistent with training and scope of practice Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians, nursing staff, and consultants Document care in the electronic medical record and adhere to quality and safety standards Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following: Emergency Department practice as an APP Urgent Care practice as an APP Prior clinical experience as a Paramedic Eligible for Massachusetts licensure BLS and ACLS required (PALS preferred or willingness to obtain) Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Earned Time Off (ETO) Malpractice insurance provided 403(b) retirement plan with employer match CME time off and annual CME allowance Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Rural designation site – eligible for federal and state loan forgiveness programs If you are seeking a meaningful Emergency Medicine role in a stable, mission-driven community healthcare system with strong team culture and leadership support, we would welcome the opportunity to connect. #J-18808-Ljbffr Heywood Hospital
