Senior Systems Engineer - Tomahawk Weapons Sys

Salary: $126,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 10 years of systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management for software systems, or 20 years of experience if you do not hold a degree.
• We require experience identifying, analyzing, and documenting complex systems tied to DoD weapon and/or fire control systems.
• We require two years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons and/or fire control systems, including current Navy programs such as Tomahawk or similar missile and weapons control systems.
• We require experience defining requirements and performing initial and detailed system design activities.
• We require proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• We require a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Preferred experience includes concept definition, DoD Architecture Framework-compliant architecture development, and Cameo.
• Preferred experience includes five years of engineering work on a DoD major weapon and/or fire control systems program.

• We review, analyze, and author requirements at multiple levels, including SSS, SSDD, SRS, and HRS, for weapon system capability and functionality.
• We assess the impact on the weapon system, requirements, and related design specifications during engineering development.
• We resolve change requests and problem reports tied to gaps between design documentation and actual system behavior.
• We create change requests and problem reports to capture system issues and design documentation errors.
• We develop Candidate Change Packages to engineer new system capabilities and document design details and impacts.
• We review, analyze, and develop system architectures, with a strong focus on MagicDraw.
• We provide human factors engineering, prototyping, and analysis support for user interface requirements and specifications, including the Human Computer Interface Design Specification.
• We review, analyze, and contribute to external interface documents, serving as custodian by updating documents, adjudicating comments, and maintaining configuration management.
• We support engineering activities during IPT meetings, Software Requirements Management Boards, Engineering Review Boards, Deficiency Review Boards, development and deployment reviews, Configuration Control Boards, Interface Working Groups, and Single System Initiative reviews.
• We prepare packages, review packages, document outcomes, and communicate engineering event summaries verbally and in writing.
• We deliver technical briefs, defend engineering and design decisions, and present at formal reviews.
