This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end air export process, ensuring timely and compliant shipment movement while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and overseas partners.

The candidate will have prior experience in international air freight forwarding, strong knowledge of export documentation and airline procedures, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air export shipments from booking through final departure
• Prepare and process export documentation including: House Air Waybills (HAWB), Master Air Waybills (MAWB), Commercial invoices, Shippers Export Declarations (when applicable), AES filings
• Arrange cargo bookings with airlines and negotiate space availability
• Communicate with customers, overseas agents, trucking companies, airlines, and warehouses regarding shipment status and requirements
• Ensure compliance with TSA, FAA, IATA, and U.S. Customs regulations
• Monitor shipment timelines to ensure on-time departures and customer satisfaction
• Track and trace shipments while proactively resolving delays or service issues
• Coordinate pickups, cargo handling, and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal operating systems
• Provide rate quotations and support customers with export-related inquiries
• Collaborate with accounting regarding billing, invoicing, and file reconciliation

Qualifications

• 2+ years of air export experience within a freight forwarding or logistics company
• Strong understanding of international air freight operations and export procedures
• Experience working with airline bookings and export compliance requirements
• Knowledge of AES filing procedures preferred
• Familiarity with CargoWise or similar freight forwarding software is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments
