• Travelers must shave for a mask to seal for fit testing.
• Participation in holiday and weekend rotations may be required.

Description:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide care in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery. Experience in PICU or NICU is not necessary, but NRP and PALS certifications are required. This position will involve serving patients with diagnoses such as COPD, respiratory failure, CHF, asthma, and post-operative care after open-heart surgery. The therapist will utilize specialized equipment including V60, G5, Puritan Bennett, Airvo, Lumis, and Bubble CPAP. The work schedule is three 12-hour night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00. Travelers are not required to float between units and must comply with fit testing requirements. Candidates should be prepared for participation in weekend and holiday rotations as required by the facility. Documentation will be completed using the EPIC charting system. The position requires good interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, children, and adults.
