Job Type Full-time Description Virtucom is seeking Hardware Computer Repair Technicians to join our new team in West Palm Beach, Florida . This full-time, in-person opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to gain hands‑on experience in IT hardware repair and support. As a Computer Repair Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and restoring the functionality of various devices—such as laptops and Chromebooks—ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. Duties Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software issues Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and drivers Inspect and identify cosmetic and functional defects; document and report findings Disassemble and reassemble devices using hand tools to replace or repair components (e.g., motherboards, bezels, keyboards) Clean and adjust mechanical parts to ensure equipment runs efficiently and reliably Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and ticket resolutions in ticketing systems Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment Communicate with leadership regarding inventory levels and part requests Stay current with repair procedures, quality standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs) Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of experience in computer repair (professional or DIY experience considered) Strong understanding of PC architecture and operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS) Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 40 lbs Ability to operate hand trucks and pallet jacks Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team Effective communication and customer service skills Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow instructions Commitment to meeting or exceeding repair output expectations and SLAs Preferred: CompTIA A+ certification or currently pursuing certification Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match* Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (Vacation/Sick/Personal Days upon eligibility) Opportunity for Career Advancement Ability to convert from Hourly to Salary based on performance and evaluation Background Check: All candidates should be prepared to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check to ensure the safety and integrity of our operations.
