Registered Nurse (RN) Phone Triage

Lee Physician Group is seeking an experienced RN to join their Phone Triage Team in Fort Myers. This is a full time position. We are seeking an RN with a mixed clinical history within outpatient/primary care, home health, triage and critical care nursing to handle the wide variety of calls to best serve our patients.

Shift: Shift 1/6:45:00AM to 6:15:00PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $30.27 - $40.86 / hour

Summary:

Completes a detailed clinical assessment via telephone to identify the urgency and nature of the patients condition and coordinates the appropriate disposition to receive healthcare. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process and Evidence-Based decision support tools. Makes complex decisions based on nursing assessment, effective listening, critical thinking, advanced assessment and communication skills are essential. In addition to patient triage, the RN will facilitate other care delivery and self-care advice as the situation warrants.

Educational Requirements:

Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/ Preferred and/or Bachelor's Nursing Preferred Additional Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred. Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required/ Preferred and/or 3 Years Nursing Required Additional Requirements 3 years nursing experience in emergency medicine, medical surgical, case management, ICU, urgent care, Outpatient clinics, ambulatory care sites, or physician office experience required. Formal or informal telephone nursing preferred. State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required/ Preferred and/or Registered Nurse License Required Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/Registrations Required/ Preferred and/or BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) Required Ambulatory Care Nurse Certification Preferred
