ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates field and laboratory technicians and assist supervisors in assigning tasks to them on individual projects Assist in the training of technicians and provides input on performance of technicians Prepares construction materials testing and observation reports which provide written documentation of services performed Work directly with clients to meet needs Performs safety audits of technical staff as applicable An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills High customer service orientation Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong technical aptitude Collaborative and highly engaged Ability to deal with ambiguity and problem solve Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to work independently Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to perform field and/or lab related services at least 50% of time MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma required; 2-year Vocational degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering or construction management a plus Experience and/or Training Experience with materials testing preferred Licenses/Certificates Current driver’s license required; ACI Field Level I Certification preferred, Nuclear Density Gauge Certification preferred, DOT, ICC and NICET certifications preferred/ability to obtain as needed Technology/Equipment Experience with Microsoft applications preferred Work/Environment Generally, will be a jobsite environment which will often be loud, can be outside in all weather conditions and/or tightly enclosed areas, and can have uneven walking surfaces. Sometimes will be an office environment, using computer, telephone, other office equipment as needed to perform duties, frequent interruptions throughout the day likely. Travel Requirements Occasional out-of-town travel as needed for business needs, totaling less than 5% annually. Can require consistent local travel daily without overnight stays.
