Production Packer

Production Packer, Joliet ILJoin our team as a Production Packer on the 2nd shift, working from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday. This role involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting and placing 50-pound bags onto a conveyor and palletizing finished products. It also will require operating a sit down forklift.ResponsibilitiesLift and place 50-pound bags of products onto a conveyor.Palletize and stretch wrap finished pallets.Operate, monitor, and adjust bagging machines for accurate and consistent packaging.Calibrate scales, load materials, and verify correct bag types.Inspect filled bags for correct weight, seal integrity, labeling accuracy, and overall quality.Maintain accurate production records, including bag counts, material usage, downtime, and quality checks.Assist with staging raw materials and finished goods.Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant.Essential SkillsExperience in production, packing, and palletizing.Ability to consistently lift 50-pound bags of powders.Familiarity with operating a sit-down forklift.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working with and around chemicals is preferred.Ability to stand all day and wear an N95 mask for the majority of the shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
