Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care for a top healthcare client in Kansas City, MO . This position provides high-quality care to cardiac telemetry patients recovering from open-heart surgery, stent placements, ablations, pacemaker/AICD insertions, and other cardiovascular procedures. The Cardiac Care unit operates within a comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility, offering an excellent opportunity for RNs to advance their critical care and cardiac nursing expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Job Responsibilities Provide nursing care for post-cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology patients, including those with stents, pacemakers, and ablations. Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes or emergencies. Coordinate and implement patient care plans in alignment with hospital and unit standards. Administer medications, assess patient responses, and document all care activities accurately. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care. Educate patients and families on cardiac recovery, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing practice standards, and patient safety procedures. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Experience Prior clinical experience preferred; open to new graduates with strong cardiac interest Certifications/Licenses Active Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire Skills or Competencies Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to provide high-acuity cardiac care in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork and adaptability #J-18808-Ljbffr Cooperidge Consulting Firm
