Senior Loss Prevention Specialist

Responsibilities Job Summary: As a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist, you will work in one of our Stores to help protect our assets by preventing theft and reducing shrink. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions Detect and resolve external theft by investigating incidents. Conduct surveillances, detain and interview persons apprehended in shoplifting incidents. Recover assets and make safe apprehensions. Educate store partners and management on loss prevention matters to improve theft awareness and maintain a safe store environment. Conduct inspections of physical security standards. Interviewing / Investigating Use advanced interviewing techniques. Assist with internal cases by conducting surveillance, researching, and investigating incidents. Reporting & Documentation Write and document case reports for theft incidents; produce weekly activity reports. Provide input to LP Leadership on annual budgeting, staffing, training, LPS certification, scheduling, and performance feedback. Qualifications & Key Requirements 3‑4 years of experience in investigative auditing and/or retail loss prevention. Extensive knowledge of investigative techniques. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of theft investigation and interviewing. General knowledge of video systems. Advanced PC skills including MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and related software. Good interviewing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual language skills a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail. Ability to work with highly confidential information. Ability to confront individuals calmly and diplomatically. Ability to work in a team environment. Education High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree a plus. Licenses/Certifications None specified. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Fast‑paced retail or office environment. Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays. Lift up to 20 lbs regularly. Work extended hours and rotating schedules. Access and move around all store areas quickly. Make theft apprehensions.
