The Opportunity

A top-tier, mid-sized Dallas law firm consistently recognized by Lawdragon and Best Lawyers in America. We offer the bench strength of a large organization but operate with the agility of a specialized boutique. You will join an interdisciplinary team of smart, accessible professionals who prioritize getting deals done over unnecessary contention. In this role, you will work directly with partners, developers, and investors to drive high-stakes real estate projects from initial concept through closing.

What You Will Do

Your primary goal will be to guide clients through complex commercial real estate transactions efficiently and strategically. You will not just draft documents; you will solve real-world problems.

  • Negotiate and document commercial leases for office, industrial, and retail spaces on behalf of both landlords and tenants.
  • Handle the purchase and sale of income-producing properties, coordinating everything from due diligence to final closings.
  • Advise on mortgage lending, negotiate loan terms, and ensure all conditions are met seamlessly.
  • Work alongside developers on master plan communities, managing municipal relations and entitlement work.
  • Collaborate with our internal tax, construction, and litigation teams to navigate multifaceted transactions.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

To be successful in this role, you need a balance of sharp legal skills and practical business sense.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Strong dedicated experience in commercial real estate law, specifically handling purchase and sale agreements and commercial leasing.
  • Strong experience managing title, survey, and due diligence reviews.
  • A practical, deal-oriented mindset with the ability to know when to fiercely negotiate and when to let minor issues go.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in real estate development, including zoning and entitlement work.
  • Real Estate Finance.
