Clinical Pharmacist – Overnight | $70 -$80/Hour
Location: New York, NY
Pay Rate : $75/hour
Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Contract : 13 Weeks
Setting: Acute Care Hospital | Inpatient Pharmacy
We're hiring an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week overnight contract at a hospital in Flushing, NY.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and verify inpatient medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriate dosing.
- Provide clinical pharmacy guidance to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor drug therapies, laboratory values, interactions, and renal dosing adjustments.
- Prepare and oversee IV medications and sterile compounding.
- Support medication reconciliation, controlled substance management, and patient safety.
- Respond to urgent medication requests and clinical pharmacy needs during overnight hours.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted New York State Pharmacist license required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge of medication management, IV preparations, and sterile compounding.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
