Outpatient Rehab Services Tech IHR-Casual As Needed Part-time Salary Range Minimum: $20.00 Salary Range Maximum: $20.00 Compensation: USD 20 - USD 20 - hourly Responsibilities Assist with patient care under the direction of licensed therapists. Provide assistance during community re‑entry activities under a plan of care established by the Rehab Team. Transport/escort patients between nursing pod and Rehab Department. Perform daily, weekly, monthly cleanup of department, restock linen, wipe down treatment tables between patients or daily if sheet is used, and remove clutter from the storage room weekly. Maintain cleaning schedule and clean hydrocollators, cold pack units and other equipment as needed. Perform general clerical duties including mail processing, typing, faxing, photocopying, filing and processing medical records for the department. Answer phones, schedule outpatients and/or coordinate and maintain the Rehabilitation Unit patient therapy schedule. Backup telephone reception as needed. Track, enter, and verify daily record of charges in computer. Order supplies and maintain inventories as directed by Department Leader. Maintain competency and pursue ongoing learning through attendance at departmental and system in‑services, workshops and conferences/seminars. Participate in organizational learning opportunities as appropriate. Provide care needed as described in the unit’s/department’s policies and procedures, as well as in the clinical competency checklist for the position and patient age groups served. Maintain appropriate documentation. Be knowledgeable about the patient’s cultural, psychosocial, ethnic and religious needs and adjust interventions when appropriate based on this knowledge. Maintain a professional and courteous manner and provide care/communication in a manner consistent with customer satisfaction and service excellence strategies. Attend team/unit meetings and conferences as appropriate to facilitate coordinated care and communication. Participate on various interdisciplinary system teams as appropriate. Identify population served by this position: Young/middle adult and older adult. Secondary populations are pediatrics and adolescents. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same. BLS Certified within 90 days of hire. Physical ability to perform functional requirements as detailed. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare or Rehab related experience preferred. Familiarity with a healthcare environment is preferred.
