Practice Groups Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT) & Private Capital (PC) Location San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC Role Principal Overview Oliver Wyman helps industry leaders in technology/software and private equity develop value growth strategies, improve operations and maximize organizational effectiveness. Our CTT clients include wireless and wireline equipment and communications service providers, enterprise IT, consumer electronics, semiconductor companies, broadcasters, publishers, platform operators, online and entertainment companies, high‑tech, and software companies. We work collaboratively with clients’ leaders, employees, stakeholders, and customers to define, design, and achieve lasting results. Our Private Equity team in North America supports investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle from opportunity identification through due diligence and post‑transaction value realization. Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day leadership of client projects, manage client relationships and commercial processes, and share responsibility for engagement success. Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery meeting agreed goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice and technical competence. Guide and influence clients in an informed way across all situations, including execution of the commercial process, and become trusted advisors. Engage fully in business building by identifying new and expanded opportunities. Create thought leadership and contribute to intellectual capital on a broad range of adjacent topics. Develop others and build followership as part of asset building for the firm. Lead firm‑building activities, acting as a role model for firm values with a strong personal brand, respected by Partners, peers, and clients. Desired Skills and Experience 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or CMT/TMT industry experience plus Private Capital experience. Commercial due diligence expertise. Strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills. Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast‑paced, demanding environments. Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives. Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program. Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time. Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $260,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
