Job OpportunityPosition: Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Occupational TherapistShift DetailsSchedule: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)Days: Tuesday - SaturdayNo work on Holiday Days (December 25 and January 1)Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist with expertise in neuro rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will work as part of a large team to manage a complex patient population specializing in conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), brain injuries, spinal cord injuries (SCI), cancer rehabilitation, and complex orthopedic cases.QualificationsMust possess an active California Occupational Therapy License.CPR/BLS certification is required.Minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting, preferably with a focus on neurology.Key Skills RequiredExperience with adaptive equipment and assessments for adults.Proficient in the evaluation and treatment of various conditions including arthritis, amputee rehabilitation, and spinal cord injuries.Ability to develop plans of care, conduct functional capacity evaluations, and perform pre-discharge planning.Familiarity with adaptive devices and techniques, dynamic and static splinting.Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.Clinical SettingThis position is situated in a busy inpatient rehabilitation department located in Oakland, California. The team includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists responsible for treating patients with a range of diagnoses, including stroke, orthopedic cases (both elective and traumatic), oncology, and complex medical conditions.Patient Care DetailsFocus on adult and geriatric patient populations.Daily patient census: 7-10 patients.Compliance and DocumentationWork history verification for the past 7 years is required.All compliance documents must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date.Ideal Candidate AttributesThe successful candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients through innovative rehabilitation practices!
