Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianThe hospital pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm. Technicians work 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule which includes every 5th weekend.Insurance: medical, prescription, dental, vision, life, disabilityPaid Time Off: includes vacation, sick days and holidaysRetirement: 403(b) with matchEducation assistance and continuing educationHigh school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institutionCurrent pharmacy technician license requiredPrevious hospital-based pharmacy experience preferredBasic math, computer, and telephone skills are necessary; medical terminology helpfulManual dexterity, mobility and good visual acuity requiredBLS (Basic Life Support) certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)Count, package and label unit dose and bulk medication for inspection by pharmacistReplenish floor stock and distribute medications to nursing unitsAssist pharmacist in filling orders and prepare labels including oral dosage forms and admixture of sterile productsOrder, receive and store pharmacy materialsMaintain inventory, order and cleanliness of storage area including the removal of outdated inventoryUse vendor websites to verify availability and pricingPerform accounting tasks such as cash register deposits and end of month reportsMaintain department records, reports and filesHillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
