Host/Hostess PositionWe are looking for a Host or Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests.The Host/Hostess position greets the customer immediately when they enter the restaurant. This position must possess a personal and energetic personality to welcome and seat guests ensuring their needs are accommodated. The Host controls the flow of the restaurant through seating and to alleviate servers from getting multiple tables at one time to ensure each guest gets an excellent service experience. The Host must be aware of new menu items and specials and be able to answer all questions about the menu. The Host follows up with guests as they are leaving to ensure they had a great experience and invites them to return. They are attentive to the FOH atmosphere and ensure that the lighting, music volume, and overall cleanliness are all being kept up for a great first impression.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greet all guests, in person and on the phone, with sincere hospitalityMaintain a clean and orderly Host StandUtilize SevenRooms in tandem with the VIP Table Hosts to track individual guests preferencesUtilize SevenRooms to ensure proper bookings for reservations and VIP GuestsPerform all duties assigned by the Manager on DutyAccountabilities:Menu KnowledgeRotation SeatingPrepared, in uniform & Punctual for ShiftWelcomingAware of Events & SpecialsFriendly & Attentive Customer ServiceKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesCustomer Service Skills:Ability to always maintain ProfessionalismAbility to communicate clearlyAbility to work well with othersAbility to multi-taskPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
