Maintenance Reliability Engineer

Now hiring a Maintenance Reliability Manager to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving a safety-first culture while ensuring reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of plant machinery, equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership across all maintenance functions, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and implement strategies using data analysis that enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support overall operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in developing a high-performing maintenance team and aligning maintenance practices with business objectives across all shifts and technical disciplines.

This position works collaboratively with internal partner teams and outside vendors to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and support operational excellence. A strong background in strategic maintenance planning and data analysis is ideal. This is a hands-on, direct leadership role in which you’ll guide and mentor the maintenance team overseeing industrial mechanical & electrical systems, reliability, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and asset health. Core Responsibilities :

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-shift maintenance team, driving engagement, accountability, and performance
• Establish and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards
• Partner with HR and Operations to address workforce performance, development, and employee relations
• Drive a proactive maintenance strategy focused on reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement
• Implement and sustain TPM and reliability-centered maintenance programs
• Develop and standardize SOPs for troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance and documentation
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and shutdown/outage coordination
• Manage CMMS utilization, work orders, and PM documentation to enable data-driven decisions
• Monitor KPIs, analyze equipment failures, and implement root cause corrective actions
• Improve maintenance workflows including troubleshooting, execution, and spare parts management
• Provide technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, PLC, automation, and instrumentation systems
• Support teams in diagnosing complex equipment issues and improving reliability
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to enhance equipment performance and process stability
• Develop technical capabilities within the maintenance workforce to support long-term operational needs
• Manage maintenance budgets, labor utilization, and resource planning
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Communicate maintenance priorities, equipment status, and project updates across all organizational levels

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting
• Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working in a heavy industrial maintenance, reliability, electrical systems, or engineering support role
• Proven ability to lead, manage, coach, and develop maintenance teammates and frontline leaders
• Strong background in industrial electrical systems, PLCs, controls, automation, motors, drives, and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated experience implementing TPM, preventive maintenance, and reliability best practices
• Experience utilizing CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to lead within a fast-paced manufacturing environment while balancing technical and people leadership responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in metals, heavy industrial, or continuous process manufacturing environments
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
• Advanced TPM and reliability training or certifications
• Experience leading multi-shift maintenance operations
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and reliability-centered maintenance concepts
• Demonstrated ability to build both tactical and strategic maintenance plans aligned with business objectives
• Experience improving maintenance culture, accountability systems, and frontline leadership effectiveness
