Overview Job Location: Wellness Clinic Youth Center (Excelsior Springs, MO) Job Position: Physician (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor) Job Background The student wellness center is located on the campus of a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps adolescents and young adults improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Flexible scheduling. Excellent hourly contract compensation. Professional liability insurance provided. Job Description Here is a list of some of the standard primary and acute care managed at the clinic; school physical exams, minor sports injuries, hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies, wellness exams, sick visits Collaboration with Mid-Levels Collaboration with center’s medical staff, wellness staff and substance abuse specialists as necessary. Role Description This is a contract role for a Locum Physician with The Locums Company, LLC at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, MO. The Locums Physician will work on-site to provide physical exams and minor acute medical care to student patients ages 16-24 years. We offer excellent compensation, and professional liability insurance. Qualifications / Job Requirements Active and unrestricted state medical license in Missouri state Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing medical procedures and prescribing medications Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work 18 hours per week (Monday - Wednesday) Prior experience as a locums physician is a plus Valid Federal DEA license Job Types Part-time, Contract Pay $150.00 per hour Expected hours 18 hours per week Schedule 8 hour shift Day shift 18 hours per week No weekends Relocation Excelsior Springs, MO 64024: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location In person #ZR #J-18808-Ljbffr
