Senior Software EngineerReflexive Concepts is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team! You will serve as the technical anchor for a new feature and capability being added to our product. You will architect and design the new feature, translating complex business requirements into robust, documented technical designs, and coordinate closely with an Integrated Feature Team (IFT) to ensure high-quality delivery across the lifecycle. Responsibilities include architectural analysis and design using object-oriented principles, acting as feature lead and owning the definition of done, serving as technical liaison to the Systems Engineering team, decomposing designs into actionable development tasks, mentoring junior and mid-level peers, and conducting rigorous merge request reviews to uphold code, security, and performance standards.Qualifications:Twelve (12)+ years of software engineering experienceBachelor's Degree or higher in a technical discipline. An additional four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of sixteen (16) years.Required:Expertise in Java (17+ preferred) and the Spring Boot ecosystemDeep understanding of SOLID principles and object-oriented design patternsProficiency with REST interface standards and best practicesAbility to communicate effectively and facilitate cross-team collaborationExcellent oral and written communication skills — able to clearly communicate architecture and design conceptsAbility to write technical documentation, including wiki sites, blogs, and XML/HTML contentWillingness to mentor junior and mid-level software development peersDesired Skills:Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervisionStrong experience with MongoDB data architecture, including schema design, indexing, and aggregationProficiency with Docker for local development and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Kubernetes orchestration and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for system monitoring and troubleshootingExperience with PKI, TLS, and SSL certificatesKnowledge of ICAM capabilities and integrationFamiliarity with Confluence and JiraStrong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
