Job Summary

Our Company is seeking EXPERIENCED, PROFESSIONAL SERVERS that are available to work early morning to late afternoon, or evenings, that have a passion for working with people in a restaurant setting! Serving experience is required.   Servers must be 18 years of age or older as we will be serving alcohol beginning late August 2018. In this position, you are the primary interface with the customer therefore strong customer service skills is a must! A server’s primary responsibilities include serving food and beverages to customers. Our servers must exhibit an overall optimistic outlook, be highly motivated and demonstrate excellence in regards to the quality of food and beverages being served.  Honest to Goodness Breakfast & Smoothies aspires to be the place to work, the place to dine…the place to be!

Server Job Requirements*

• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food.

• Takes the customer’s order on an iPad.

• Presents order to the cooks and bartenders on behalf of the patrons.

• Serves customers the beverages and food and ensures that all customers needs are met.

• Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.

• Totals bill and accepts payment.

• Clears or resets table at the end of each course.

• Thanks patrons and kindly invite them back for future dining.

• Honesty, integrity, positive attitude accompanied by a true passion for customer satisfaction is a must.

Server Job Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience required
• Must be 18 years of age minimum.

High school diploma/GED required

Skills

• Active listening, social perceptiveness and coordination are required.
• Must possess strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Must exhibit exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to walk, stand for up to 8 hours, and occasionally carry items up to 20 pounds in a fast-paced, stressful environment
