Position Summary WM Supercenter #583 in Oneida, TN. The Vision Center Manager leads sales and operations for the optical department. Responsibilities Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, and appropriate inventory levels. Manage budgeting and forecasting, assess sales performance, and analyze economic trends and community needs. Provide direction to Associates on customer/member service techniques and resolve complaints within company guidelines. Implement community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good community members. Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center. Oversee asset protection and safety controls, conduct safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Develop and execute action plans to improve performance and support company programs and strategic initiatives. Supervise, train, mentor, and recognize Associates, fostering a culture of belonging and professional development. Consult with Members on eyewear selection, measurements, prescriptions, and perform minor frame repair while maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate assignments and work with key stakeholders to meet customer and business objectives. Apply the Open Door Policy to address Associate concerns and provide guidance on business processes. Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
