TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Simpsonville, South Carolina, 29681!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the field License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience required - Must have previous charge experience Description: This position requires call 4-5 days per month, including one weekend every month. Floating to other units and campuses may be required based on census concerns. Staff will float to units they are qualified for only. Competencies must be documented. Experience with Pyxis and Omnicell medication systems is necessary. Nurses are expected to manage arterial lines, dysrhythmias, and blood product administration. Central line care and management, IV vasopressor administration, and narcotic/ opioid analgesic management are key responsibilities. Reversal agents and external ventricular drain (EVD) monitoring are needed. Care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, and post-epidural management are required skills. Experiences with various anesthesia methods including spinal and nerve blocks should be demonstrated. Knowledge of the Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol and pain assessment and management is essential. PCA pump management and familiarity with RASS are expected. Experience in various patient demographics including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics is necessary. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Requires knowledge of general, orthopedic, vascular, ENT, gynecological, and neurological procedures. Staff must demonstrate flexibility to manage a diverse patient population effectively.
