Job Title: Medical Device Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including detailed catheter assembly performed under a microscope in a cleanroom environment. You will follow established procedures and documentation standards while operating specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality, compliant products.
Responsibilities
Manufacture medical devices, including catheter assemblies, under a microscope with strong hand dexterity and attention to detail.
Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and all Safety requirements.
Successfully complete training on production tasks and apply learned skills to daily work.
Understand travelers/routers, correctly identify materials, and use microscopes, production tools, and inspection equipment required for product builds.
Operate tools and equipment safely and accurately, and complete all required production and inspection documentation.
Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspections to accomplish assigned tasks and verify product quality.
Work directly with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality standards are consistently met.
Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine process documentation for manufacturing and inspection activities.
Perform inventory counts and support material control to maintain accurate production records.
Use adhesives, including different types of Loctite, along with EFD dispensers and UV curing systems as part of assembly processes.
Follow cleanroom protocols and use required safety equipment when performing lab and manufacturing work.
Conduct in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of medical devices during production.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or prototyping experience.
Prior experience with medical device assembly, including catheter assembly, is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform assembly and inspection tasks in a cleanroom environment.
Prior microscope experience for detailed assembly and inspection work.
Strong understanding of and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Line Clearance, Good Documentation Practices, and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Ability to perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of medical devices.
Comfort working with adhesives such as Loctite and using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing operations and production processes.
Good communication skills to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, and team members.
High level of hand dexterity for precise catheter and medical device assembly.
Ability to use required safety equipment when performing lab and cleanroom work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in catheter product manufacturing is a plus.
Experience developing or following detailed process documentation with engineering teams.
Background in inventory counting and basic material control within a production environment.
Comfort working under a microscope for extended periods.
Ability to learn and operate specialized inspection tools and production equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product integrity and quality.
Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned and follow verbal instructions regarding tasks.

Work Environment
This role is based in a cleanroom environment where strict cleanliness, safety, and documentation standards are followed. Work is performed on multiple shifts: first shift (with start times as early as 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., or 6:00 a.m.), second shift (approximately 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), and third shift (approximately 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday night through Saturday morning), with third shift requiring up to two weeks of training on first or second shift. Second shift includes a 5% shift differential, and third shift includes a 10% shift differential. You will work under a microscope and use specialized equipment such as EFD dispensers and UV curing systems, following cleanroom protocols and wearing appropriate safety and lab attire as required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
