Responsibilities Overhaul, rebuild, and renovate vehicles to bring exterior condition to a presentable state. Inspect and identify needed cosmetic repairs using DriveTime standards and tools. Complete glass repairs as necessary and review all completed work with lead or supervisor. Use, store, and maintain equipment properly. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain daily performance logs and review with the Reconditioning Center General Manager. Achieve established throughput, efficiency, and quality goals. Establish consistency among cosmetic associates and technicians by enforcing DT Standards. Review and communicate issues with the appropriate Cosmetic Associate, Reconditioning Manager, and ICGM. Perform daily area inspections to ensure Cosmetic Associates keep clean and safe workstations. Portray a positive image of DriveTime and participate in creating a positive, professional work environment. Adhere to DriveTime guidelines, policies, and practices while acting ethically and with integrity. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in automotive repairs. Able to troubleshoot basic automotive concerns. Can communicate the causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issues. Meet metric performance targets. Learn and operate basic computer systems. Organized and punctual. Maintain a safe and compliant workspace. Learn and comply with all DriveTime standards. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Certificate or associate’s degree in automotive technology or equivalent work experience (2+ years) in automotive repair. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. At least 18 years of age. Ability to fly vehicle as described in the Physical Requirements section. Physical Requirements Lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights. Carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet. Stand for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping. Pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance. Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Use safety equipment including face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments. Frequent driving and typing. Regular and predictable attendance. Communicate in English to ensure effective performance in a safety‑sensitive/technical environment.
