Salary Range $100,000 - $130,000 Job Posting End Date December 15, 2025 Location and Work Arrangement Hybrid role; expected to work at an Aflac office in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC at least 60% of the week. The remaining 40% is remote work from home within the continental United States. Schedule details will be discussed with leadership. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Actuarial competencies and advanced technical knowledge. Advanced data analysis skills: analyze data, synthesize findings, develop models, set and defend assumptions, and deliver presentations. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation from the Society of Actuaries, with commitment to pursue Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). Current candidate in or qualified to become a candidate in the Aflac Actuarial Development Program. Three years of professional job‑related work experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Travel Up to 10% travel. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Utilize actuarial standards of practice and business acumen to solve challenging actuarial questions. Collaborate with departments such as product development, finance, compliance, and Japanese colleagues to complete assignments on schedule. Analyze statistical data (morbidity, mortality, termination experience) and policy provisions, state regulations, and related documents. Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures; use judgment and business acumen to plan and achieve goals. Communicate findings to managers and executives to facilitate business decisions. Represent the department in internal and external groups for the benefit of Aflac. Perform other duties as required. Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $130,000. Compensation decisions consider education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range does not include incentive pay or benefits.
